Prologue to A New Hero

I'm not dead, but clearly my heart isn't into this franchise as it used to.
I have, however, taken my free time to translate this short prologue to the new PK chapter.

It's hard to say when and if I'll be able to translate the full story when it comes out, seeing as it's being released in a hardcover book, and it's trickier to get scans from those.

I've also finally added a download for the complete version of "Droids".

And I'll post the new translated pages down below, and that will be all for now.

    1. Great! May I ask how did you scan it without harminig it?

    2. It's hard to explain (I'm not very good at it), but let's try.

With caution. Gentle and careful folding of the pages outwards (not all the way) outwards, the rest with fingers pressing gently the center of length of two printed pages which are visible at the same time. Finally, still pressing and holding gently, onto the scanner, scanner cover closed and scanning. The book is durable enough not to be damaged by a small, careful folding. I would never do anything that would harm my PK magazines/books. Even all of my 20-years-old PKs, even though they have been read numerous times, are still almost like newly published and purchased.

Here's a sample of one of the scanned pages (extra edges removed):

    3. It came out wednesday 10/30 and today I decided to order it from Amazon.it, getting it by the end of November.
I scanned Event Horizon (Topolino Deluxe Edition) because I wanted better quality scans (I still have those untranslated on my computer), and I did it just fine without harming the book.
So if needed/wanted, maybe I can scan this too.

EDIT: Heh, left Italy today in the morning, estimated delivery 11/14

  4. Thanks for translating the prologue, Banker. I hope that other artists get to draw future issues, Pk has always thrived from a mix of styles.

By the way, did you read my comment about having registered on your old forum? I know it's more dead than ever but I'd still like to know what happened to my registration...

    1. It's a shame, really, because I read some interesting threads there and wanted to add my two cents on some things. At the moment there is little English discussion on the series I can find; the reddit group isn't really active either, and the Feathery Society is more obsessed with trying to build continuities from old Barks and Gottfredson tales and a very US-centric view of Disney comics - although it surely would be good for PKNA discussion if all of us joined there and opened some threads (I'm already there).
