PKNE #07 - Part 3

Welcome back, to the finale of "Droids". Yes, turns out this on was a 3-parter, that's a new one. Boy, were there some twists and turns no person would ever have seen coming. I'm being completely sarcastic of course, but still, that ending did get me a little bit emotional. Dig in, folks!

      I don't really care about DoubleDuck at this point, as the recent stories I've covered have been really dull.

      DoubleDuck's Brazilian fans could still use some fan translations, especially since Disney Comics no longer has a publisher in Brazil.

      Few weeks ago there was the news that it´s coming in the near future but it's not known when exactly. If I understood italian correctly, they said there's possibility that there will be new, very own comic book for New Era. There will be also new (and young) screenwriters and drawers. I don't know about Lorenzo Pastrovicchio, Sciarrone et cetera.

      Who knows, it depends…
      Can so big books be scanned? I have done that once though (with New Era #6 because I wanted scans with better quality). And because I live in Finland it's not so easy to just go and buy Deluxe books.

    The next story is called "Un nuovo eroe". Drawer is still unknown, but screenwriter is Roberto Gagnor.

    hey, just wanted to say that you mean the world to me. ive been with you for awhile, before your current blog, back before your old one got nuked. duck avenger is possibly one of my favorite comics, and without you, i would never be able to read it. i wish you posted more, as i honestly still remember your old joke reviews of the comics, and miss them so much. you didnt do many, but i have always wished you would do more, i honestly found them super funny. Just wanted to let you know just how long ive been with you, and just how important the duck avenger is to me. thank you so much.

      I know the feeling. The series have been one of the most important things in my life for over half of my life. I even learned Italian just to be able to read them. But it's nice to be able to read them in English once in a while.

    Hi, this is my first post here. First of all, I once registered on your forum (as Spectrus), but never got a confirmation email...

    I haven't read any of the new stories (apart from the final part of "Event Horizon", because I bought the Topolino issue that contains it, but with virtually no knowledge of Italian all I can really do is admire the art!) partially because large file size is a bit problematic when all you've got is a mobile connection, partially also because I don't want to be spoiled too much and would rather wait for these to appear in German - probably won't happen until at least 2021 (we're currently up to PKNA #46), but hey...

    Anyway, here's a list of characters I'd like to see more of in some form or other:

    - Fenimore Cook
    - Mary Ann Flagstarr
    - Jana
    - Urk
    - Neopard
    - Camera 9 aka Stefan Vladuck
    - the Stahlburg / Axe people and, by association, also the anti-Evronian resistance group from the same story
    - Xarion
    - the Evronian general who was left on Earth in the last part of the Spores tetralogy
    - Kronin (he must still be in his chronostatic cell given the events of "Nothing Personal", right?)
    - Gorthan

    I agree that the long waits are problematic, and there aren't even any short stories to fill the gaps aside from PkTube 2 years ago.

    Topolino have posted the cover of the new Pk story. It's by Freccero and looks rather generic, although I note the shield/drill hybrid that's reminiscent of the 1st Neopard story.
    They also revealed that Wizards of Mickey has become its own series too (now subtitled "New Misadventures"? Seriously?) and the new story will be called "Blackout". Still written by Venerus but now drawn by Emmanuele Baccinelli. I liked Roberto Marini a lot, but I guess change has always been part of WOM.
